“Exploring the Evolving World of DAFs” - Council of Michigan Foundations 2024 Annual Conference (Traverse City, Michigan)
Wednesday, October 9th at 11:30-12:45am. Presented with Michael Layton.
In the face of newly proposed regulations for donor advised funds (DAFs), community foundations and other DAF sponsoring organizations are challenged to maintain existing DAFs, develop new funds and reassure donors and partners about the future of this giving tool. In this session, we’ll explore the existing landscape of DAFs, as well as the role of giving circles as part of the new DAF definition proposed by the IRS. You’ll also come away with an understanding of the proposed DAF regulations, common challenges with DAFs, and how to navigate and mobilize DAFs as an effective tool to serve your community. Ample time will be held for Q&A, so please bring your questions!
